Joel Martin wrote his first hello world in 1986 on an Epson PX-8 and has been creating software ever since. In 2019, he received a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Arlington. Joel currently works as a Principal Software Engineer for Equinix where he is developing new approaches for making software and hardware more testable. He has created a number of open source projects including mal/make-a-lisp, noVNC, websockify, miniMAL, raft.js, instacheck, wac, conlink, clj-protocol, and instacheck.
